Strive to turn around the inequitable outcomes between groups of students in the district to ensure that Students with Disabilities and students of color are achieving on par with their peers.
Continue to raise the achievement of all students.
Balance enrollment across the elementary schools to ensure no elementary schools are “single-track” (only one teacher per grade) because that limits teacher collaboration and special-ed inclusion.
Expand pre-K until we have universal availability for all four year-olds in the city.
Improve our four year high school graduation rate to get it above 90%.
Keep improving reading and math proficiency to get above the state average.

Hold the district administration accountable to identifying and addressing reasons for persistent lower proficiency rates for students in special education and students of color.

Strive to make School Committee meeting time as efficient as possible to increase accessibility. Most current teachers and guardians of school-aged children cannot sit through a three hour meeting on a school night.
Increase transparency around the work of the School Committee. As a resident, I pushed for the public meeting agenda to include full text of any policies that will be discussed
Improve the district staff survey and place more value on the EPEA staff survey
Keep facilities costs down by not re-opening previously closed school buildings.
Pay teachers competitively because teachers are the most important school-based factor that drives student success.
Request an evaluation of all district high-cost Ed-Tech and consultant contracts to ensure that the products and services are high-quality, not redundant, and are successfully supporting student learning outcomes.
